Happy Friday!! My sister and I just made it to Vermont to meet up for our annual New England trip with our friend Caitlin! We flew into New Hampshire and then drove to Vermont where we are literally staying in a cabin in the middle of the woods. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful!
Here is this week’s Friday Five…
1.Growing up, my grandmother used to give my sister’s and I a journal every Christmas so that we would write an entry every day. I filled up so many journals over the years but as I got older I stopped writing. I recently found this Day One app for digital journaling. You can include photos, drawings and more in your entry and use the audio tool so it makes it easy to record your thoughts!
2. If you’re looking for some great non-fashion Instagram accounts to follow, check out Lisa Olivera‘s page. This was one of my favorite posts from her recently and is such a great reminder!

3. I had some terrible breakouts recently so I got serious about my night-time skincare routine to help my acne. I just started using The Ordinary Peeling Solution and I highly recommend this Ole Henricksen Invigorating Night Gel. Both contain Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which are recommended for sun-damaged and dry skin because they exfoliate the skin’s surface and have the added benefit of also improving moisture content. I have seen a great improvement in my skin texture and acne scarring from using the night gel (I’ve used it for over a year now).
4. Everlane, a sustainble-focused brand with ethically made basics, has a pop-in shop at Nordstrom open now until Nov. 17th. Shop their reCashmere sweater, made from recycled materials, and other pieces made to last.
5. “When you stop worrying about all the stuff that doesn’t matter, that’s when you really start living.”-Jessica Alba
I like Jessica Alba’s phrase. 🙂
