This weekend my sister Chantel was visiting from San Diego for the weekend so my family was extra adventurous! We went hiking on Saturday and spent the day in Monterey yesterday. We only live like 1.5 hours from Monterey but we don’t visit enough!
Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day. Mid 70s degrees and absolutely no wind (which is very strange for the beach!). I think most people assume all beaches in California are warm, but that’s not the case in northern California! Monterey is usually very cloudy and chilly so we got extremely lucky with the weather. My mom actually grew up in Monterey since her dad, my grandfather, was in the military so they lived on the military base there. and in all our years visiting the city growing up, this was the nicest weather I’ve experienced.
This tan faux suede moto jacket was the perfect layering piece for the evening and I paired it with my go-to basics. I have similar moto jacket I’ve worn for years but I do love the deep brown color of this one. The jacket does run slightly large since I got an XS and it still a little loose, but otherwise a perfect fit. An XXS would probably be too restricting since the jacket doesn’t have any stretch.
The tee I’m wearing is literally the softest ever. It’s made out of the same material as my pj’s so you can basically wear it all day (and night). I also wore these Levi’s which have been on repeat and these Frye sneakers. I wore them all over New York and are super comfortable. They are well worth the investment for a great pair of white sneakers! For more sneaker recommendations, check out this post here.
Very nice casual look. 🙂
