It’s safe to say there is plenty of bad news out there (especially) right now. But don’t worry–you won’t find any here!
After seeing multiple uplifting stories over the week I kept noting down to share on my IG page (and partly inspired by John Krasinski’s new Some Good News show-so funny btw!), I decided it would be fun to switch up my Friday Five series and use it to share 5 heartwarming, funny and/or inspiring stories with you each week. Because we can all use more good news right now:)
1. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is cancelled, but you can now send those flowers to isolated seniors.

For the past couple of years, my sister and I made a trip up to Oregon to visit the beautiful Wooden Shoe Tulip festival where they have acres and acres of the most stunning array of tulips (and some daffodils!).
Due to COVID-19 they have decidedly to close the festival this year. Instead of letting all those flowers go to waste however, they’ve made them available to purchase online to deliver to seniors in assisted living facilities.
Pots are $15 and include 7-10 flowers and you can include a personalized note to each anonymous senior. They also ensure they take all necessary safety precautions in place as advised by the assisted living facilities.
Tulip Town is another tulip field in Oregon who is also accepting donations to deliver a bouquet of Tulip Town tulips to a hospital, nursing home or other members their community.
You can make someone’s day and them them a bouquet of flowers 🙂
2. Starbucks & Krispy Kreme are giving free coffee and donuts to frontline responders.
Starbucks cafés across Canada and the US are now offering free small coffees to anyone who identifies themselves as a front line responder.
Starbuck locations in the U.S are only open as a drive-thru but you can still stop by for a cup of coffee and they are providing the free coffees to police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, and hospital employees until May 3rd.
Krispy Kreme is also offering free boxes of donuts to health care workers every Monday starting March 30th (National Doctors’ Day) through 5/11 (National Nurses Week).
According to the Krispy Kreme website, “Just go to a Krispy Kreme drive-thru, tell us what you need and show us your employer badge…Pick up some free dozens on the way to work for you and your colleagues, or maybe a free dozen on your way home to family after a long shift.”
3. 104 Year Old Man that lived through the 1918 flu pandemic, Great Depression and served in WWII recovers from COVID-19.

4. The Getty Museum asked people to recreate art with objects from their home and the results are hilarous.
5. This woman turned herself into a potato during a video meeting and couldn’t figure out how to fix it.
One of the employees on the meeting posted this story and it went super viral. The responses are all so accurate.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Nice informations. Great to know that! 🙂
