Last year is when I first started building out a capsule wardrobe and focusing on quality, classic pieces, so I thought it would be helpful to take a look back at my top 15 favorite [and in stock] pieces I purchased/wore in 2020.
These top 15 include my favorite investment pieces, most-versatile, comfortable and most–worn pieces. They were also your top favorites as well since these were almost all my top best-sellers for the year!
Top 10 Favorite Products:
This was my go-to shirt all year and my favorite layering basic for just about any outfit. Plus the box-cut shape makes it the perfect length for an easy chic front tuck [aka ‘the french tuck’].

Two of your [and my] favorites were the Everlane skinny jeans [in white and black]. These jeans fit like a glove and if you are on the petite side [I’m 5’4”], the short size falls at a perfect length–so no tailoring required. At $68, you really can’t beat these jeans!

EVERLANE SOFT COTTON SQUARE CREW SWEATER
This is a quality, classic sweater you’ll find yourself grabbing over and over again. This actually didn’t show up on my gram as much as I wore IRL, but it still ended being at the top of my best-sellers list–which means you guys really liked it [and probably because it’s so difficult to find a classic, non-trendy sweater!].

EVERLANE ORIGINAL CHEEKY JEANS
These are easily one of the most comfortable jeans I own. The material is a soft-lived-in-cotton and the fit is comfy enough for all day wear. Need I say more?! 🙂

Growing up in California, I basically lived in either sandals or Uggs my whole life. But let’s be honest, Uggs aren’t the chicest shoe and I needed to find a new comfy everyday shoe. These Frye sneakers are my absolute favorite minimal sneaker and they are so comfortable! I first wore them to Disneyworld [so you can only imagine how much walking I did] and they didn’t need any breaking in from day 1. I also love that they are leather so it makes it easy to clean.

This cashmere sweater is another go-to layering piece for me. The classic fit and style makes it perfect to style with just about anything all year [and it comes in so many colors!]. I own it in black, oatmeal [seen in the above photo], white [pictured below] and camel [seen styled with my Madewell leather jacket below].

A black leather moto jacket is a wardrobe classic, so when my old Zara jacket started falling apart, I knew it was time to invest a quality forever-jacket. After trying out multiple styles, I fell in love with this one from Madewell. The washed leather material gives it a lived-in look and the material is so soft! I also found it to be one of the most comfortable fitting jackets I tried [where you can actually move your arms around] and easily layer with a sweater.

Another favorite sneaker of mine [and yours!] was this Everlane court sneaker. It is very similar to the Frye sneakers but it is a slightly thicker sneaker, making it a little more sporty [in my opinion], and about half the price. If you are in between sizes I would recommend sizing up half a size as I would say the sizes run just a tad bit tight.

EVERLANE TANK BRA + PERFORMANCE LEGGINGS
This tank bra is so soft and comfy, you’ll forget you are wearing it! I also love these coordinating leggings [now available with pockets] and they fit amazing! They are very similar to my Lululemon align leggings–but give you better lift–and almost half the price.

I decided to try these Zella leggings for the first time during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and loved them so much I bought another pair! These are tied with my Everlane leggings as another favorite, are super soft and great for wearing on the daily or for a workout.

This drape trench sold out SO quickly last year and I just saw it was just restocked! It makes for the perfect chic layering piece as the season transitions to warmer weather.

I pretty live in this tee! It’s like your favorite oversized bf tee/pajama tee but acceptable to wear in public haha. Layer with necklaces to make it extra chic [Color pictured below is currently sold out].

I couldn’t possibly round up all my favorite products without of course including some pieces from my jewelry line! It’s pretty difficult to narrow down to just a couple of items [I love all the pieces–which is why they are in the collection!], but if I HAD to pick my daily go-to’s, it would be the Elena necklace, Titania II necklace and Lucy II earrings. A mix between classic and chic, those pieces will go with just about anything–and perfect to accessorize with a t-shirt!

Since I couldn’t find a functional, stylish and affordable backpack, I decided to create my own! I launched our small SOPHIYA backpack in late summer of 2020 and you guys loved it so much you sold it out! I’m in the process of working with our manufacturing partner to make a couple of design updates and I’m hoping to have it back in stock in April. And due to a high number of requests for a larger backpack, I launched our larger backpack version in December. This back can be worn as a side bag or backpack and it holds SO much stuff! It also has a hidden back pocket for your valuables.

Great picks! 🙂
