If you are looking for a versatile work pant, look no further than a slim-fit cropped pant. Cropped pants give a tailored silhouette and work equally well with heels or flats–no tailoring required!
I also find cropped pants to be most flattering for petite frames, and they make it easier to style with other workwear [without looking too baggy as most workwear tends to fall on the masculine side].
These Ann Taylor ankle pants sure so comfortable [as they are a stretchy material but have a polished look] and work well either styled business smart/casual or dressed up professionally.
Since I only have a few pieces of workwear from past styling posts I’ve done, I’ve linked to a few additional pieces I recommend. I will be buying a few more of these pants as well for upcoming styling posts!
*Note [in response to questions I’m receiving on my video]: There are different styles of crop pants, so depending on your height and body type, you can opt for longer or more straight-leg style crop pants. I have a petite frame, and I often struggle to find pants that fit around my waist, so here I am wearing the petite size at Ann Taylor. Next week I have another pair of crop pants that are slightly looser and longer, so you will see the difference in the look it creates!
