After creating my own personal capsule wardrobes over the last few years, I’ve had many requests for work capsules so I’m excited to share the business casual fall workwear!
WHAT IS A CAPSULE WARDROBE?
If you are new to capsule wardrobes, a capsule wardrobe is made up of a few essential items that don’t go out of style and can be rotated seasonly. With classic, versatile and quality pieces, a capsule wardrobe will minimize your wardrobe and allow you to spend less time getting ready in the morning — while also looking effortlessly chic! [Here’s my personal capsule I put together each season.]
Similar to the benefits of a uniform [as workwear is essentially a uniform], capsules help keep your wardrobe to a minimum and removes the constant decision fatigue that comes with having an overabundance of clothes, shoes, etc.
BUSINESS CASUAL DRESS CODE
A business casual dress code can sometimes be a little vague as dress code polices vary across companies and industries, so I did my best to incorporate a mix elevated & smart casual pieces. From doing a few polls on my Instagram stories, it appears the majority of you can wear (dark wash/professional) jeans to the office, and many of you wear sneakers to work as well.
It is important to always refer to your company’s dress code P&P for guidance (and I also recommend looking to your managers as well!). You can easily make adjustments to my recommendations depending on your company (i.e switching out blue jeans for black jeans if blue jeans are not allowed).
