Levi's Jeans: Fit & Style Guide for Women

I am 5’4″ for reference

Levi’s is one of my top recommendations for jeans due to their exceptional quality, timeless styles, and commitment to sustainability. I have owned Levi’s jeans for years and have found they only get better with wear and age. Now that I’ve had a chance to try out a range of Levi’s styles, I’m sharing some of my most worn and versatile fits below.

Wedgie Fit Straight Leg Jeans

These have been my most reached for and worn Levi’s jean over the years. They are a versatile style to wear year-round, and I will opt for different washes and inseams depending on the season. These come in three inseam lengths and a variety of washes. I prefer the washes with low stretch for extra comfort while maintaining that real denim look.

I love a lighter wash and shorter inseam for spring and summer as I have found this combo to pair well with sandals, flats and sneakers. I’d like to note that the exact light blue wash below is no longer available, but “Fully Baked” is a nearly identical option for the warmer seasons.

Ribcage Wide Leg Jeans

For a chic wide leg option, you cannot go wrong with the classic ribcage fit inspired by the ’90s. For an extra elongating silhouette, I opted for the 32″ inseam to wear with heeled boots. If you are looking for longer inseam options, I recommend checking out J.Crew who offers a tall option with an inseam up to 35 inches.

For my 5’4” frame I found the 30” inseam to pair with flats or a low heel.

Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans

For a higher waisted and wider straight leg down to the ankle, I recommend checking out the ribcage straight ankle jeans. These also come in three inseam lengths which fall slightly longer than the wedgie straight and a great option if you are on the taller side and looking for a crop jean, or on the petite side and looking for a full-length pant.

I also found this particular white wash to be one of my softest jeans!

501 Crop Jeans

Levis’s 501’s are their ultimate classic jean. I find they are nearly identical to my wedgie straight jeans and while fitted, just a little less snug on the overall fit (though it’s a very slight difference). I’m wearing the Levi’s 501 Crop jeans in a 26 inch inseam and the wash “Stand Off”. Both jean styles come with a button fly.
